Don’t miss HTR’s Annual Mahashivarathri Dance Recital, TANDAV 2024. This marks the second LIVE, in-person dance school recital by HTR since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020. During our three year hiatus due to Covid, we did have yearly virtual performances to keep our students, families, friends and supporters enthused and engaged with the Arts.
Without these virtual gatherings we would have all withered under the various restrictions and threats we were facing. Dance kept us motivated and connected to our community. Please join us to celebrate this special return to the stage, which is essentially our prayer offering to the Lord of Dance whose cosmic dance keeps the worlds in motion.
Our live orchestra will feature Nattuvangam by HTR’s co-founder and artistic director, Sudha Chandrasekhar, vocals and nattuvangam support from HTR’s co-director Vidya Chandrasekhar, vocals by HTR’s popular vocalist, the divinely-blessed composer, Gopal Venkatraman from Las Vegas, mridangam by Michigan’s own Sam Jeyasingham, And violin by our outstanding HTR alum and young violin 
artist Akshaya Rajkumar from New York.
